History of Asia Society Texas Center
The history was not so long , it was the time of 20 century ,when first lady Barbara bush meet the former Ambassador Roy M. Huffington to establish Asian society in Texas.Later it was build in 1979. It was similar to Asia Society in New York (1956). they recognized that Americans should read the Asian culture and their society habits. They should make research on the Asian civilization.For this purpose this institution was build.
In 1995, Houston planned to built a house for Asian society to make events and programs for motivation of american youth.An architect which belong to japan , was appointed as chief architect and planner for Asian society center. since he was expert in making building and museums. He was the famous Architect of Asia and had done many projects in New York.
It was completed in 2011,. The Houston Center for Asian societies compromises of 40,000 square-feet , center has 273 seat brown foundation which has job of arts. Louise Stude Sarofim Gallery , Edward Rudge Allen III Education Center , Fayaz Sarofim Grand Hall and much more. The Houston Center for Asian societies was opened on April 14, 2012.
